There are a lot of businesses out there that people look down on, and some in this list might just awe you.

This list was not just compiled out of guess work but with real data from a Facebook survey.

People were asked to list lucrative business that they are into and different people mentioned the businesses in this list up to 4 or 5 times.

If you are looking to start earning good money then don’t sleep on these list that we are about to discuss now.

You can start from small and move your way up, the businesses here are ordered from the lowest startup capital to the highest.

So, lets dive in to discuss them in details.

1. Sachet Water, Bottle Water and Soft drinks

This business has the lowest startup capital especially sachet water you can actually startup with as low as N500.

although the sale is small, but you earn double of what you purchase, each bag of sachet water contains double the quantity bought.

Bottle water also can give you high double returns, but this will be effective, if you have a shade, kiosk or shop to sell them.

The third highest are soft drinks (Soda) or as we Nigerians call it minerals, this business is very lucrative and easy to start up as well.

Just as the table water is it advisable you have a shade, kiosk or shop to sell them, also keep record of your empty bottles, as you must use them to buy it again.

2. Vegetable and Fruits Business

Fruits are lucrative business that we may look down on, I use to think, how much can these fruit vendors possibly sell.

I noticed how lucrative this business is when a Hausa man, sold a bag full of oranges in 3 days.

When I got to buy orange there, I noticed he was removing oranges from filled up bag and peeling it.

In three days back, I went there only to find out that bag is empty, imagine how much he must have made already.

Now, if we are talking about vegetables, I have this experience firsthand while growing up, it is very lucrative, when people cook, they use vegetable to enrich the food.

This simply means people will always cook, and you will always sell.

But the biggest downside to this particular line of business is that it is a perishable goods especially if you are selling vegetables.

You have only about 7 to 8 days to sell them off and even 2 days in the case of vegetables.

You don’t want to be selling rotten fruit or rotten vegetables.

3. Pepper and Tomatoes Business

This business is very lucrative, and in fact you don’t have to worry about it getting perish, as most people prefect buying the rotten one to prepare stew, or even green soup, amongst others.

Tomatoes and pepper are what almost all Nigerian dish are made up off from stew to even noodles at times.

These food ingredient like pepper makes the food spicy and tomatoes makes it has this stew taste, plus it enriches the food.

So, because of these, they are always in demand season in, season out.

4. Puff Puff

These are a form of snacks that are very common in Nigeria, and it is made from floor and yeast.

Its not as bad as it sounds, once you eat it with let’s say soft drinks as a snack or light food it helps to relax.

If you are selling drinks then as listed in number 1, then you should consider this.

You can get them from people who fry if you don’t know how to, or the money to buy the ingredients are too much.

5. Oil Perfume Business

This business is very lucrative especially if you know how to market both physically and online.

Almost everybody needs something that can be managed, and cheap too.

And oil perf are definitely one of them, they don’t wear off easily and it is very economical.

It is only right their demands skyrocket, plus they aren’t enough retailers on the business.

6. Ponmo Business

Ponmo are gotten from cow, we all know there is saying in Nigeria that leather materials like belt, etc would have been cheaper if we don’t consume leather as food.

With the above illustration, the demand for this product cannot be over emphasized.

If you can get it for retails, then it is very easy to get your profits immediately.

But if you want a very big profit from it, you need buy it fresh and process it, which can be very tedious and requires more capital and equipment.

But you will make more profit that way.
